The Return of SILVER RING THING
The Pregnancy Support Center and ASITIA, the Rutherford
Abstinence Program, are pleased to announce the return of "Silver
Ring Thing" to Murfreesboro on Monday, August 23rd at World
Outreach Church. Silver Ring Thing is a high tech, high energy
performance that educates teens and twenty-something's about the
benefits of remaining abstinent until marriage and the dangers of
promiscuous behavior. With an outrageously funny approach, drama,
videos, special effects and speakers, teenagers will be motivated in
a unique and personal way to choose to remain abstinent until
marriage.
The Silver Ring Thing is the fastest growing
abstinence program in the United States and is rapidly gaining
international recognition for its relevant and effective abstinence
message. SRT's mission is to motivate, educate, support and
transform generations of people to embrace a lifestyle of sexual
abstinence. SRT seeks to create a culture shift where abstinence
until marriage once again becomes the norm, rather than the
exception, in the 21st century. More information is available on the
SRT web-site:
www.silverringthing.com, or call the center at 893-0228. We hope
to see you on August 23rd!
Calling all coffee lovers!
The PSC is excited to announce a fun, new fundraising
opportunity called Just Love Coffee! This company was founded by Rob
Webb, owner and operator of Webb’s Refreshments here in
Murfreesboro. Rob and his wife recently adopted two children from
Ethiopia, and during that process, Rob was inspired to start a
coffee roasting company, Just Love Coffee Roasters that is aimed at
helping the Ethiopian orphanage where his girls were adopted, and
organizations such as the PSC. We have our own unique web address:
www.justlovecoffee.com/murfreesboropregnancysupportcenter.
Our store is called Bundles of Java, and if you go
on our coffee website you can order directly from our store. We
receive $5.00 from Just Love Coffee Roasters for every bag of coffee
you buy through Bundles of Java. We even receive proceeds from the
sale of their t-shirts, mugs, hats, totes and coffee scoops, all of
which are available on our website! You can have the coffee shipped
directly to you, or you can pick it up at Webb’s Refreshments at 149
MTCS Road in Murfreesboro. The coffee is Fair Trade coffee, which
means the workers in Ethiopia are paid fair living wages, and it is
premium gourmet coffee! Please become a member of our coffee club,
and help support the PSC while you enjoy your morning cup of coffee.

Baby Bottle Campaign
The Pregnancy Support Center provides all our services free of
charge to our patients. We raise the funds necessary to operate
through other means--one being our annual baby bottle campaign.
Simple baby bottles distributed throughout the county (usually
through our churches) raises a substantial part of our budget needs
each year. Click
here for information on how to begin a baby bottle campaign at your
church or organization.

encourage your group. To discuss your event call 893-0228 ext.

How to be involved in the Pregnancy Support
Center
Volunteer Opportunities: As pregnancy consultant, volunteers
work one-on-one with women in a crisis pregnancy—working through the
consequences of the various options. Volunteers play a pivotal part
in the attitude of the young woman.
Abstinence Educator: As a Abstinence Educator, volunteers go
to the schools to teach classes covering topics of healthy
relationships, purity, faithfulness, respect, media pressure, peer
pressure, and healthy sexual boundaries. Volunteers truly serve to
change the course of a student’s life as they lead toward purity and
integrity.
Nurses: Nurses are specially trained to perform ultrasound
scans. Our nurses are in the front row seat as the mother is
introduced to the child for the first time through the ultrasound
image. This is a sacred spot as the mom realizes the reality and
bonds with that baby.
Baby Boutique:
The "Earn While You Learn" program is designed to help you learn
valuable information and gain skills that will help you as a parent
and as an individual. While doing so, you will earn "Baby
Bucks" that will enable you to shop for baby items in our Baby
Boutique. There are approximately 100 different lessons to choose from,
and you, with the help of your counselor, will set your own plan for
learning and earning your "bucks." The baby bucks may be spent
immediately after each lesson or saved and spent at a later date.
Donor: Makes it possible to offer all services free of
charge. The work of a donor is vital behind the scenes. However, our
clients do realize that someone is paying and at some point in their
life (usually much later) are very appreciative that someone stood
in the gap for them at a time they needed help.
Church Liaison: Serves as the link between the Pregnancy
Support Center and your church.
